Sony Pocket Edition Reader Silver PRS350SC Review – Typical but works!

With so many Readers out there, it can be very tough to determine which one is best for you. Each company promises they have the best, but is there really such a thing? Every one of us has varying styles and tastes and I personally believe that in order to select the best option for you, you must first be informed on each type so you can honestly compare. Today, I am going to talk to you a bit about the Sony Pocket Edition Reader Silver PRS350SC. I hope this helps you pick the best reader for your unique needs.

The USB cable is a must have for you avid readers out there who want quick access to your books. With a 2GB memory, you are going to be able to store all of your favorite books and more. I don’t think I will ever be able to fill this thing up. I would say, this is the case for most people, as not too many of us have read over a thousand books in our life.

If you told me a few years ago that I would soon be able to hold my entire book collection in one hand, I never would have believed you. On top of that, to be able to purchase books from my home and be able to read them moments later. Sounds crazy, right? Up to 1,200 books in my two hands… still sounds pretty crazy. Never again will we have to wish we had a certain book with us or wish we had something to read. This model is one of the lightest, so you can slip it in your purse or backpack easily and not even notice it’s there. Also, with its e-Ink technology, you can read in direct sunlight with virtually no glare.

A few draw backs are: you can only load books from your home computer and there is no Wi-Fi. This device will only be able to connect to a computer that has Adobe Digital Electronics and Sony Reader Library. This is the first time I’ve heard of this and I hope this is changed in the future. A reader is all about convenience and freedom and that kind of contradicts the purpose. Another thing that bugs me about this particular device is its shape. Its awkward to hold and I’m always afraid of dropping it. eReaders are not supposed to feel that way.

What I love most about Readers in general is that you can easily store your books without all the clutter. I have actually re-purchased all my physical books with eBooks. Of course, nothing is perfect. This Sony Pocket PRS350SC has a few problems that some of us wouldn’t be able to look past. Many of us need Wi-Fi at all times because we are away from home much of the time and aren’t sure when we’ll want or need a new book. This eReader is great for those of you who will only add books from home.
