I love the fact that this camera has 12.1 megapixels. This mixed with the fact that it’s full 1080p HD makes both photos and videos absolutely amazing! You’re not going to believe your eyes. I’m still shocked and I’ve had this thing for a while now.

I’ve always been into taking photos of things in the distance, so when I realized this camera had a 5x optical zoom; I was super excited. I can finally capture the things I used to miss in the past. It’s been really nice. Plus, the DIGIC 5 Image Processor keeps your photos and videos top notch all the time. The CMOS sensor makes things even better. This camera really is pretty smart so I’m shocked by how affordable it really is. (I can’t leave out the HS SYSTEM as well)

The best thing about this camera is the fact that it is HDMI compatible; gotta love that dontcha think?

No matter how great a camera is, there are usually always some downsides. With this particular one, there are a few that may or may not be deal breakers. For me, I don’t have any issues with them but you may. It all depends on what you’re going to be using the camera for and which types of things you enjoy and need the most. First off, the camera is a bit on the pricey side. I think it’s worth it but not everyone will feel the same way. Also, if you are going to be taking videos in dim light, you may want to think again because the videos require more light than the photos do. Plus, the screen is really hard to view at night; which is annoying but I never take shots at night so it’s been fine for me.

If this Canon PowerShot S100 doesn’t seem like the right camera for you, then you may want to check out the Canon PowerShot S95. This camera is another great option for those of you who are looking for either a first camera or maybe even a replacement. This is a wonderful brand to choose from and one of my personal favorites.

Megapixels are a big deal to me, but not as major as most people. As long as a camera has at least 8, I’m fine. This camera comes with 10.1 so I was pleasantly surprised. Plus, with the beautiful LCD display that is 2.5 inches, you can see everything before you even take a shot. This makes everything much easier in the long run. The DIGIC III image processor is great for keeping photos perfect. This thing really can process photos insanely fast; which is a must when you’re out and about and need photos quickly.

I think you’ll be happy to hear that this Canon Rebel XS is also compatible with both SD and SDHC memory cards, so you can store even more files than before.

I would have to say, my favorite thing about this particular camera is the fact that it’s extremely lightweight and the design is lovely. I love carrying it around because it looks super expensive and it goes great with just about any outfit. Makes me feel like a girl.

Now, on to a few things that I think may bother you. For me, they weren’t that big of a deal but for some people, it has caused them not to purchase this particular camera. First of all, it’s a bit on the expensive side. I personally think it’s worth it but it all depends on what you’re looking for in a camera and what you want to do with it. Also, the Live View could be a bit better. It just seems kind of slow, which is frustrating. Plus, the ESO software takes a while to transfer, which gets kind of annoying. I usually transfer while I’m doing something else so I don’t notice as much.

Not sure this Canon Rebel XS is the correct camera for your personal needs? Then you may want to check out the Canon EOS Rebel T3. Both cameras offer quite a bit for the money and they are super easy to use. This is why I love Canon so much. They may not be like other cameras you have used before but they offer great customer support and are wonderful for anyone; even those of you who have not had many (or any) cameras. This is why it’s been my go-to brand for a while now. I think you’ll enjoy any of their models.

Remember, no matter what you decide be sure to make a list of things you definitely are going to need. This is going to save you money in the long run and greatly reduce your chances of being talked into buying something that you don’t actually need.

I think you’re going to really enjoy the zoom on this camera. It’s one of the nicest I’ve seen in quite a while now. At 16x optical zoom, you can capture just about anything you need to. Plus, with the Subject Sharp and Background Soft focus, your camera takes care of all the minor details for you. All you have to do is point and shoot and you’re all set to go.

Intelligent Scene Selector Scene Detection

This particular model only weighs 7.4 ounces, so you can easily take it with you no matter where you go. Plus, the pictures can be blown up very easily because all pictures are taken with 14.1 megapixels. The clarity these photos have, even when blown up dramatically is absolutely amazing and something you have to see in person to believe. I couldn’t believe how lovely my shots came out. Even the most fast paced objects are easily captured with this camera. On top of that, it loads very quickly and it’s extremely simple to go from taking a shot, to reviewing it and then back to taking another picture again.

I really think this DMC-ZS8 is a great camera for those of you who are looking to take your photos more seriously. This is great for everyday use, family use and even a bit of professional use. Plus, the price is absolutely amazing; you get a lot cheap.

As with anything, this camera has a few downsides that I think are worth mentioning. First of all, I personally think this camera is a bit too pricey. It’s also a bit on the large side, which can be annoying at times. I’ve personally gotten used to this though. On top of that, it’s pretty loud which may or may not be an issue for you.

If this Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS8 doesn’t seem like the right camera for your personal needs, then you may want to look into the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH20K. This is another really popular camera that I think you’re really going to enjoy. Many customers choose this one as another one of their favorites and it’s really easy to see why. There are a lot of neat features and it has a beautiful design.

This camera has a wonderful ISO performance and takes stunning images with 21.1 megapixels. This is the biggest megapixel camera I’ve ever had. I was shocked to find that it was much more affordable than those cameras I’ve had in the past. That completely blew my mind. The menus on this thing are also wonderful. They are extremely simple and easy to use. Even if this is your first ever camera, you should do just fine. The LCD screen is beautiful, not to mention the entire design of this camera as a whole; it’s great and very comfortable to hold onto.

With 25,600 ISO, you are able to take amazing pictures, even in the low light. This is something I had to have. On top of that, the 50 ISO is great for bright light as well; giving you the best of both worlds.

There are a few things that could be a lot better about this camera and I think they are worth mentioning but they may not be issues for your personal needs. First up, the flash does not pop up. That kind of bothers me but I’ve learned to live without it over time. It’s just a bit strange at first if that’s something you’re used to having. Also, it is very slow to shoot. This is going to cause you problems only if you are going to be taking pictures of fast paced objects. On top of that, the files created by this camera are very large and they tend to take up quite a bit of space. This may cause problems for you down the road as you build up more photos. I transfer mine frequently so it works out for me.

If this Canon EOS 5D Mark II does not seem like the right camera to meet your needs, then you may be interested in the Canon PowerShot ELPH 300 HS. This is another very popular option that many people enjoy. Like I always say, it’s all based on your personal preferences, so never go with what other people say they like. I think the best way to select the right option for you is to figure out what you want and see how much fellow customers like or dislike those features. I’ve always used that method and it’s yet to fail me thus far.

This camera comes with a 24mm ultra wide-angle lens and has a 5x optical zoom. This is going to give you stunning pictures no matter where you are. I’m a big fan of taking pictures of things at a distance so this was very important to me. Plus, you have your Optical Image Stabilization which helps for those of you who are a bit shaky, like me. Other cameras always drove me crazy because my photos would come out blurry but this one does perfectly fine all the time. It’s been great. If you like to blow up your pictures or have them professionally printed then you’ll be happy to hear that this camera has 12.1 megapixels.

This camera even allows you to take videos in full 1080p HD. This has been great for capturing those special moments in a bit of a more intimate way. The Super Slow Motion Movie feature allows you to slow things down and really capture every moment. Plus, Smart AUTO settings get the best picture every time, all the time.

With any new technology, there are always going to be downsides. With this particular camera, there are a few things worth mentioning that may or may not bother you. First thing is first, the videos save as .mov files, which is a bit strange. Some computers may have issues with this. Personally, mine was fine but mine’s a bit newer so that should be why. Also, this camera isn’t the greatest when it comes to taking photos in dim lighting. I don’t really take pictures at night so this has never been an issue for me. If you do, then you may want to think about getting a different camera.

Not feeling this Canon PowerShot ELPH 300 HS and all it has to offer? Need more? Or possibly even less so you can save some cash, well we have many of other options out there for you. For example, you may enjoy the Canon PowerShot ELPH 100 HS. It really all depends on what you’re looking for exactly and what the primary uses of your camera are going to be. Personally, I enjoy the first one better, but I’m a bit biased because I’ve had mine for quite some time now. At the end of the day, make sure you get what you need most and don’t waste money on things you don’t need or will rarely ever use.

Not many cameras these days can boast 18 megapixels. This is something I was so excited to find ; especially for this great price. I mean, this type of things is normally very expensive and something I thought I wouldn’t be able to afford for a very long time. The speed of this camera is amazing and you’ll experience this thanks to the DIGIC 4 image processor. This camera is amazing for both bright areas or even those dim ones. You’ll love the Improved EOS Movie mode, which offers videos in full HD quality; not exactly something that’s simple to find these days.

The monitor is absolutely amazing and at 3.0 inches, you just can’t go wrong. It’s the perfect size so you can see but it’s also not too big. Plus, this camera is compatible with SDXC memory cards, which I find to be really helpful. There’s nothing like knowing you can easily keep track of all your files and simply transfer them whenever you need to. That was always a must for me. I love to keep everything and if it’s hard to move my photos, it’s just a waste of my time.

No matter how great a new device may be, there are always things that people complain about. From my own personal experiences and the experiences of customers just like you and I; I have come up with a few cons that I think are important to mention. First of all, the video quality could be a lot better. I don’t use videos that much, so I don’t mind but if you’re looking to keep memories that way consistently then this may not be the right choice for you. Also, the build of the camera could be better; it just seems kind of cheap, honestly. Plus, the files are large and this may cause issues for some of you.

If you still aren’t sure this is the right choice to meet your personal needs, you may want to check out the Canon EOS Rebel T3i. This is another one of my personal favorites. I had this camera for a while before giving it to my friend to trade it for the Canon EOS Rebel T2i and loved it. The two are quite comparable. It all depends on what you are going to be using your camera for.

Let’s start with the pros on this camera. This particular model has some really neat features that I think you’re really going to enjoy. First of all, this camera is very customizable; this is a major plus for me because I love being able to give my device my own personal feel. I love the battery life on this camera. It’s nice because I can be gone for long periods of time and not have to worry about my camera going dead.

I also love the Viewfinder. It makes things so much easier and it’s such high quality. The images this camera takes are absolutely amazing. The 7.1x Wide-Angle Optical Zoom is to die for. I can get those far away shots that I wasn’t able to capture in the past. I love that feature. Plus, this camera is full 720p HD, which makes the whole deal that much sweeter. It also works with SD/SDHC memory cards, too.

With anything out there, there are usually bad parts to every product. With this one, there are a few things that I think may bother you; it all depends on your personal needs and what you need your camera to do for you. First of all, you have to select playback before you can view your photos that you have just taken. That can get a bit annoying and it seems like such a waste of time. There is also no articulating screen. Then, there’s the RAW write speed, it’s just not up to par but is something I can personally deal with; but it may annoy you.

If this Nikon Coolpix P7000 doesn’t seem like the right camera for you, then you may want to check out the Canon G12. This camera is another very popular option that I think you will enjoy. The price is absolutely amazing and it has some really neat features that I think you’ll really enjoy. No matter what you choose, I hope this review has helped you figure out what kind of things you’re looking for and which you can do without.

If you’re looking for a nice camera with megapixels to spare then this is the camera for you. At 18 megapixels, you just can’t go wrong. This camera processes like you would not believe with its DIGIC 4 Image Processor. Plus, it’s great for even the dimmest of settings with its ISO 100-6400.

You can even take beautiful videos with the EOS Full HD Movie mode. This is a feature I can’t live without. The LCD monitor is 3.0 inches and movable so it makes viewing and editing super simple. On top of that, you have your Video Snapshot features, which make your videos really come to life right before your eyes.

With the Scene Intelligence Auto mode, you don’t have to worry about messing with any settings. The camera takes into account your surroundings, such as light and so forth in order to get you the very best picture currently possible.

This Canon EOS Rebel T3i has a few things that I think may upset you. While I was able to look past them, and am enjoying my new camera immensely, the same may not go for you. First of all, this camera is a bit slower than the T2i. I don’t really understand this but I think there are other features available on this one that make up for that. It all depends on what you’re looking for exactly in all honesty. Plus, it is a bit on the bulky side; which may or may not be a problem for you. I haven’t had any issues but that’s because I’m used to carrying a lot of things with me. I think it makes it much easier to hold on to. Lastly, the battery life could be better but I’m usually by a charger so I’m fine there, too.

T3i Intelligent Scene Analysis

If you’re still on the lookout for the perfect camera to meet your needs, then you may want to check out the Nikon D3100. This is another very popular model that I think you’re going to enjoy. At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is that you have found a camera that does everything you need on a daily basis. I advise making a check list of things you need your camera to do before you begin shopping because this will save you money in the long run and you’ll be much less likely to be convinced into features you don’t need.

What I love most about this camera is the fact that it’s completely lightweight. I mean, it’s absolutely beautiful and easy to carry around. I can bring it with me no matter where I go and not even notice it’s there. I love how easily it is to hold on to and matches any outfit (which of course, is a must for a girl).

With a flash built in, you can get those tough to capture photos no matter what the lighting is like. For the price, I can’t believe it has all the features it has. You would think something like this would need to be a lot more expensive. This is why I wanted to focus on this particular model today to make sure none of you miss out on this great deal.

Of course, I must mention the m4/3 sensor and the 1.4 megapixels. Plus, the optional EVF. These are all things that take this camera from good to great; really offering you so much in such a small package. I personally have had this camera for a while now and I’m so happy I’ve stuck with it. It has all the functions I need, with some extras in there. There’s not much more I personally need and I think you’ll really enjoy this camera.

There is always things that aren’t exactly perfect about any new device you purchase. I personally don’t find these things to be all that bad, but for some people, they may be deal breakers. First of all, the autofocus of this Olympus PEN E-PL1 is a bit slow. If you’re going to be taking a lot of pictures of fast paced things, then this may not be something for you. The locking lens is also a bit hard to deploy and stow. This is something that could bother you, but after some time, you can get used to. On top of that, there is no control wheel; which many people think is a bit word. If this doesn’t seem like the right camera for you, then you may want to check out something else; like the Nikon Coolpix P7000.

This camera is extremely beautiful. I love carrying this thing around; it always makes me feel very fashionable. I also enjoy how light it is; I barely even notice it when I carry it in my backpack. This allows me to easily bring it with me no matter where I go. Plus, the autofocus is very fast, so I can easily view my scene and take my pictures without wasting time. This means I can capture those hard to get moments better. The zoo is a perfect example.

This camera takes videos in full HD. This is something I cannot go without. While photos may be my main priority, videos are a close second. With Smart Photo Selector, you never have to worry about taking too many photos. This camera selects the best photos and erases those that aren’t as nice quality. Motion Snapshot is what really brings all of your photos to life right before your eyes.

No matter how great a camera may be, there are always going to be some sort of issues with it; which may or may not be deal breakers for you personally. The interface on this camera is a bit confusing and could be a lot better. Maybe an update will fix this one day. Also, there is no way that I have found yet to be able to turn off the image preview. I find that to be a bit of a waste of time because I like to take photos quickly and view later. Plus, if you’re going to be using this camera for videos a lot then make sure you have plenty of life.

The video quality of this Nikon 1 J1 isn’t that great in the dark or dim lighting. Just a good thing to keep in mind. For those of you who would like to continue looking around, here is a camera you may want to check out: the Nikon COOLPIX L120. It’s another really great camera and I just noticed that it’s on sale right now (02-02,2012) if you are shopping at Amazon.com. This is a great time of the year to cash in on some wonderful deals without having to break the bank. Get what you deserve and be sure to choose carefully because a camera is a major purchase.
